Exporting Objects

You can export loaded objects, such as images, regions of interest, multi-ROIs, and annotations, in the Dragonfly Object (*.ORSObject extension) file format. Dragonfly Object files are proprietary binary formatted files in which data is written sequentially and XML (Extensible Markup Language) is appended after the binary data. Multiple objects can be exported to a single Dragonfly Object file or you can choose to export multiple objects as separate files to a folder.

You can also export image data to a number of different file formats, including RAW, TIFF, BMP, and others (see Exporting Images).
How To Export as a Dragonfly Object File
  1. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click the required object(s) in the Data Properties and Settings panel and then choose Export > As ORSObject in the pop-up menu.
    • Select the required object(s) in the Data Properties and Settings panel and then click the Export Export icon at the bottom of the list.

The Export to File dialog appears.

  2. Select a destination folder and file name in the Save As dialog.
  3. Click the Save button.
How to Export as Multiple Dragonfly Object Files
  1. Select the objects you need to export in the Data Properties and Settings panel.
  2. Right-click and then choose Export > As Multiple ORSObject in the pop-up menu.
  3. Select a target folder in the Select Output Directory dialog and then click the Select Folder button.

The files are exported to the selected folder. The name assigned to each object, as it appears in the Data Properties and Settings panel, is used to identify the different exported files.

Note If the selected items share the same name, their file names will be appended with a sequential number.

  4. Click the Save button.
